Christian extremists disrupt Hindu Senate invocation
The Senate invited the guest Hindu chaplain to offer the opening invocation. Before he could even start, someone decided to pray to the Lord about the "abomination" of another faith praying in the Senate chamber. How very, very sad.

Well, one of the wonderful things about the US, is that the religious (and other) radicals are on the fringes, not in the center isle.
I mean, this is no different than when protesters disrupt any assembly.
Not to mention, that the protesters were arrested. Reading through the many [many!] stories that covered this, they change the fundamental label to "conservative." Painting all conservative who happen to be religious into the corner with wackos likes these AND Fred Phelps.
This way, you can demonize all Conservatives who are religious (with all those negative stereotypes) while making way for this; the rational, non-threatening religious Democrat.
This story has obviously pushed a button.
You are right... it is no different than and other protest. And isn't it always the fringe that give the rest of us a bad name? You know all conservatives are whack nuts. CNN tells us so. LOL
I hadn't heard anything about this and when I saw it thought it was just so sad. I have no idea how I missed it, either. I have a nice 24 hour news channel addiction going on up here. Sheesh!
I have no idea if the tv or print media covered it; I don't watch or pay much attention to that. But, if you google it, you'll see it received ample attention on the inter-tubes. And, liberal blogs, who saw it as the sign of all Godbag's hypocrisy.
